Having different seasons is a wonderful thing! We’re definitely heading towards winter now and I really enjoy snuggling up at home with a hot cup of tea and my favourite blanket. Being lazy is just so much easier when it’s cold outside! ;) It’s bonfire night soon and to me that means winter is coming soon. I have been living in the UK for just over three years now and have been to four different bonfires. I think I have been freezing my bits off at every single one of them!
Autumn also comes with lots of great seasonal flavours! There are so many tasty autumn ingredients that you can now get everywhere at this time of the year. One of my favourite autumn ingredients is the fig. I love the sweetness and the texture of this unique little fruit. As the days are getting shorter and evening colder it’s definitely time for lovely autumn recipes – like this sweet and stunning goat cheese and fig salad with crispy prosciutto ham!
The distinct flavour of goat cheese works so well with the fig’s sweetness and turns this salad into a little festival of flavours. I also added some crispy prosciutto. The prosciutto adds some crisp and crunch to the mix! :)
